Youth world ZKP

PCU Youth Circle, brought to life in 1949, aims at training young composers, theoreticians and musicologists who are preparing to become members of PCU, and at helping them to take active part in musical life. For the promotion of young artists, many events are organised, including the composer competition organised by Polish Composers’ Union since 1958, first as the Youth Competition of Polish Composers’ Union, now - as the Tadeusz Baird Competition for Young Composers.Since 1969, the Youth Circle concert has become a regular feature of the "Warsaw Autumn" programme as a fringe event.
In 2002, the Youth World started a new Youth World Competition, whose winners have their works performed during the "Warsaw Autumn"Youth Circle concert. So far, the competition has been organised twice.
